Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from a nationally recognised/certified university in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience; or, exceptionally, no degree with at least 6 years of extensive and progressive experience in duties related to the role, demonstrating capabilities of interest to NCIA.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Service Management within a medium to large organisation.
• Extensive experience in Service Transition Management across multiple industries.
• Proven experience advising on the application of Service Management and Service Improvement techniques across functions or processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and deliver high-quality Transition and Assurance outcomes.
• Ability to evaluate risks and develop corrective and improvement plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including senior-level briefing and reporting.
• Experience working in an international environment with both military and civilian stakeholders (desirable).
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and structures, including ACO and ACT (desirable).
• ITIL certification.
• PRINCE2 certification or equivalent Project Management qualification.
Duties:
• Provides administrative support to project boards, project assurance teams, and quality review meetings.
• Uses recommended portfolio, programme, and project control methods for planning, scheduling, and tracking.
• Sets up and maintains project files; compiles and distributes reports.
• Provides guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools, and techniques.
• Contributes to identifying capability improvement opportunities across skills, technology, and processes.
• Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of capability improvement approaches and selects those appropriate to organisational needs.
• Conducts capability improvement activities, including maturity and performance assessments, to identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Selects and prioritises improvement initiatives, secures stakeholder buy-in, and plans activities justified by measurable organisational benefits.
• Provides support, guidance, and advice to enable continual improvement.
• Assists in developing the Agency’s Service Transition strategy, plans, and policies aligned with business objectives and industry best practice.
• Provides Transition Planning and Support guidance to programmes and projects.
• Ensures transition activities are planned and delivered in a timely manner.
• Reviews and updates project proposals to include appropriate Transition Planning and Support activities.
• Supports the Senior Transition and Assurance Manager in developing strategies and templates for implementing and evaluating IT Transition Planning and Support.
• Deputises for senior management when required.
